The fact that this small, fluffy critter is comfortable at temperatures of -70°C is astonishing. But there’s more: the arctic fox also has the largest litters of all carnivores, giving birth to up to 25 kits at a time. And, its incredibly dense, multilayered coat provides the best insulation of any mammal’s fur.

It’s a beautiful little animal, an efficient hunter who is perfectly adapted for its harsh natural habitat. We’ll talk more about the arctic fox as we draw them in our upcoming video. Here’s a printable, so you can get acquainted:
