Printable: Winter visitor birds in pen and ink
Who do you see during the coldest months?
Today I’m finishing up our final seabird video, a white pelican in charcoal/white pencil. Meanwhile, subfreezing temperatures have arrived here in the Deep South and I’m thinking of all the birds throughout the world who migrate or shift territory to survive the cold. Maybe you are seeing a few winter visitors where you live.
If you have been drawing for some time, I’ll bet you have a dip pen or two stashed somewhere among your supplies. A steel nib dipped into a bottle of ink can create a unique and versatile line, unlike any other medium. But this pen can be temperamental, too, so here are some tips for making your dip pen behave as you use it to sketch winter birds. Have fun!

Lovely, thank you for sharing the tips.
I have began exploring ink drawing, and have both the Dip pens and the ink cartridge pens, they are a lovely medium though tricky 🙂
Yes, I used to use nib and ink more, also glad for the reminder!
